| After a very competitive weekend Warwickshire`s over 60`s vets finished 2nd in the league to winners Leicestershire having suffered only one defeat to them and a draw with Cheshire on the first day. The second day was more sucesssful due to a combination of revamping the pairings and the un-fortunate injuries suffered by a very strong Leicestershire team resulting in them losing two men and no replacements available. Cheshire finished in third place. An under full strength County 1st Team enjoyed an excellent final Premier A week-end, - beating Glasgow & North Strathclyde, (6-4), drawing with Hertfordshire, (5-5), and only losing (6-4), to the champions - Yorkshire.

The McLaren team made 2nd place at this years Warwickshire Festival with Lotus finishing in 1st position.

The County 4th's travelled to Gloucester last Sunday for their final match of the season against Gloucestershire's 2nd Team. Having won the earlier match, in Coventry, by a comfortable 12-3 margin, hopes were high for this match against the division's bottom team. However, a weakened 4th team found their opponents in a determined mood and had to be content with a 9-6 defeat.
