On Sunday 6th March the West Midlands Regional team will host the first Regional Badminton Coaches Conference. The conference will primarily be run by Andy Wood (former GB Head Coach) and Jens Grill (Badminton England Director of Performance). This course is a unique opportunity to have the chance to get learn from two of the greatest coaches Britain has to offer as well about hearing about their experiences. We do recommend that this course is more suited for Level 2 coaches but if you would like further information please contact me. To apply please contact me and i will forward the application form to you. If you are interested i advise you to apply quickly as we envisage this will be very popular and we only have 24 spaces available. lizbrett@badmintonengland.co.uk
WSBA, the Birmingham Badminton League and BADMINTON England would like to annouce the date of a new tournament which we have added to our County calendar this year. On Saturday 26th June together we are running a tounrnament at Cocks Moor Wood Leisure Centre for age groups Under 11 to U17. The tournament is specifically for players who have never represented County before. The idea of the event is to try and identify some of the untapped talent that is hidden in Birmingham. This will hopefully strengthen our County team and show the potential set up a Birmingham based County session which will increase the opportunities available for Birmingham based players.
If you are/know a player who lives in Birmingham and would like an entry form for this tournament please contact me.
